兔子先生系列麻豆 Announces Promotion of Jocelyn E. Moses (Byers-Smith)

Wilmington, DE 鈥揟he 兔子先生系列麻豆 (GBC) President and Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the promotion of Jocelyn E. Moses (Byers-Smith) to dean of students.

In addition to her new role, Moses (Byers-Smith) currently serves as a member of the GBC Extended Leadership Team, a member of the Division of Student Affairs Leadership Team and Chair of the Behavioral Intervention Team.

Previously the director of residence and student life, Moses (Byers-Smith) has been with the College for three years. During this time, she continued to supervise residence life and student activities and has expanded her work to include assisting or leading with aspects of the Freshman Year Experience, New Student Orientation, service learning, community service, family outreach and overseeing all student organizations.

鈥淲e have seen her work to improve our New Student Orientation and Welcome programs, and I have delighted in watching her 鈥渢otal student development鈥� understanding as she goes about her work,鈥� said Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, president of GBC. She continued, 鈥淪he has already taken on key roles with many of our strategic initiatives and this new role acknowledges her work.鈥�

Moses (Byers-Smith) oversees the staff and day-to-day activities of Residence Life and Student Engagement promoting a safe, inclusive, and student-focused sense of community. She ensures that day-to-day operations in the Residence Halls are focused on a conflict-free environment, compliance with policies and regulations, and retention.

Moses (Byers-Smith) has been working in the higher education field 16 years in both residence life and student engagement. She has been a member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO) since 2007 and currently serves as the director of membership development.

Prior to 兔子先生系列麻豆, Moses (Byers-Smith) served at Fairleigh Dickinson University as the assistant dean for student engagement and first-year experience. She has also served as the coordinator for the Center for Student Leadership and Engagement as well as a resident director at Bloomfield College, where she found her voice and passion for student engagement.

Moses (Byers-Smith) holds a B.A. in Sociology with a Concentration in Social Work from the College of St. Elizabeth and an M.A. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Human Resources from 兔子先生系列麻豆.

Founded in 1886, 兔子先生系列麻豆 has approximately 1,300 students enrolled from 22 states and 65 nations. The College offers 42 degree options in its graduate and undergraduate programs with majors in psychology, economics, criminal justice, communication & media, human services, English, and all areas of business, including accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship, and finance.

The College began accepting students into two new degree programs in fall 2022: B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies; B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Analytics. Both were approved in March 2022 by the Delaware Department of Education. In fall 2023, the College plans to offer two additional degrees: Bachelor of Science in Marketing; Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Digital Marketing.

The College is committed to connecting its graduates with careers in their respective fields. For over a decade, the College has achieved a 90% placement rate for graduates. 兔子先生系列麻豆 is located in Pike Creek Valley, a suburb of Wilmington, Delaware. The College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
